AgResearch, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute, has a core purpose to enhance the value, productivity and profitability of New Zealand's pastoral, agri-food, and agri-technology sector value chains to contribute to economic growth, and beneficial environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand.

Forest Growers Research is an industry owned company that co-ordinates industry input and funding for research programmes relevant to the forest growing sector.

MBIE help grow New Zealand for ALL. To improve the well-being of New Zealanders by:

  • Supporting the effective management of the Ministry's resources,
  • Working in partnership with business groups to enable them to deliver their objectives and portfolio obligations,
  • Being responsible for many of the regulatory systems, and

Scion is a New Zealand Crown Research Institute which specialises in research, science and technology development for the forestry, wood product, wood-derived materials, and other biomaterial sectors.

Theta Solutions has been selected to provide the next generation of software and support to develop a system that will deliver routine genetic and genomic evaluations for RPBC.

Founded by two leading geneticists, Theta Solutions are dedicated to providing a sustainable advanced analytical platform for genetic and genomic analysis.

Tree Breeding Australia is the Australian peak body for tree breeding and genetic improvement. The national non-for-profit body has consolidated numerous independent public and private programs and leverages more then 65 years of empirical data, experience and statistical analysis to take the uncertainty out of every single decision. As the bridge between the technical and the operational, TBA's breeding programs, integrated tools and systems operate on a rolling front which mitigates risk and ensures steady, incremental growth for members and clients. TBA manages the Australian tree improvement programs for Pinus radiata and Eucalyptus globulus and provides genetic evaluation services in forest trees.

School of Forestry, University of Canterbury
The UC is the only university in Australasia to offer professional forestry degree programmes, including undergraduate programmes run through the School of Forestry and the College of Engineering. Their first-class facilities including teaching and research spaces and the Wood Technology precinct, which contains a timber drying and preservation unit, a pulp and paper room, and a general workshop.

University of Otago is a collegiate university located in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. It scores highly for research quality, and in 2006 was second in New Zealand to the University of Auckland for the number of A-rated academic researchers it employs.
